Chicken Parmesan Sandwich

INGREDIENTS

boneless skinless chicken breasts panko parmesan cheese flour eggs salt, pepper, garlic powder ciabatta buns pasta sauce mozzarella cheese pesto sauce mayonnaise parsley

STEP 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil sprayed with nonstick spray.

STEP 2

Use 3 shallow dishes for the chicken breading – 1 with whisked eggs

STEP 3

One bowl with flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder

STEP 4

One bowl with panko and parmesan.

STEP 5

Coat the chicken breasts in egg.

STEP 6

Then flour/seasonings.

STEP 7

Then panko and parmesan and place on baking sheet.

STEP 8

Bake for about 20 minutes.

STEP 9

Remove from oven and spoon pasta sauce on each filet then sprinkle on mozzarella cheese and bake 10 more minutes.

STEP 10

 In a small bowl mix pesto and mayonnaise until well combined.

STEP 11

Spread the pesto mayo on the bottom ciabatta buns.

STEP 12

 Spread pasta sauce on the top ciabatta buns.

STEP 13

 Place the chicken filets on the bottom bun then place the top bun on. Serve and enjoy!
