Chicken and Waffles

INGREDIENTS

waffles chicken breasts oil flour eggs breadcrumbs maple syrup

STEP 1

Prepare waffles as directed (If you are making from scratch, get those started).

STEP 2

Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.

STEP 3

Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium heat.

STEP 4

Place the flour in one bowl, eggs in another bowl, and breadcrumbs in a third bowl.

STEP 5

 Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour, eggs, breadcrumbs, then back into the egg, and into the breadcrumbs once more.

STEP 6

Carefully place the chicken in the warm oil.  Turn after about 3-5 minutes, when it’s golden-brown on the bottom. Cook another 3-5 minutes on the other side.

STEP 7

Remove from the pan and place on a wire rack.

STEP 8

Place a waffle on a serving plate and top with chicken.

STEP 9

Drizzle with syrup and serve warm.
