Seriously, it’s got a thick, rich sauce with flavorful chicken and broccoli…probably fantastic with carrots, too, but I love this slow cooker teriyaki chicken just the way it is.

I can’t wait to make it again–and next time I’m making a double batch so I have enough for leftovers the next day.

What You Need to Make Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken

When I say that this slow cooker teriyaki chicken is easy, I’m not kidding. Chop some veggies, cut your meat and then toss it in the slow cooker. You’re going to love the thick sauce and rich flavor, for real.

Here’s what you need:

  • 2 chicken breast, skinned and cubed
  • 1/3 cup chopped green onion
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar, packed
  • 3 tbsp rice wine vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp corn starch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup water

How to Make Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken

Step 1

Coat the bottom of your slow cooker in the sesame oil then add the chicken and brown sugar.

Step 2

Add the corn starch and stir.

Add the rice wine vinegar, soy sauce and garlic, then stir to combine again.

Step 4

Top with the broccoli and water, then cover and set to high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours.
