If you’re looking for an epic comfort food recipe, this Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup is where it’s at. You just pop it all in the pot, cover and you’re ready to serve in about 20 minutes.

And the best part is that this is a recipe that I know, hands-down that my kids will eat a nice, heaping bowl every time. Even on nights when they might say “I’m not hungry” or “I’m tired”.

I don’t know if its the carrots, celery or the chicken that makes this recipe so memorably comforting. But it just boils down (heh, pun intended) to the fact that this recipe is without match.

And, because it uses egg noodles, it makes a great leftover lunch for the kids the next day.

What You Need To Make Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup

This is a very simple chicken recipe that’s no-fail. Seriously, anyone can make these, as long as you can follow some basic cooking instructions. Here’s what you need:

  • 1 1/2 lbs Cubed Chicken Breast
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 cup Chopped Celery
  • 1 cup Chopped Carrot
  • 1 teaspoon Celery Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 cups Egg Noodles

How to Make This Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup

Step 1

Cube your chicken and add it along with your seasoning to a large dutch oven or pot.

Add veggies to the chicken and seasoning mix.

Step 3

Then pour the broth on top of the chicken and veggies.

Step 4

Add egg noodles on top of the chicken and veggies.

Step 5

Place the lid on top and bring to a rolling boil. Boil the soup for 15-20 minutes then remove the lid and serve!
