Baked BBQ Chicken Wings

Sharing is caring!

I love BBQ and making Baked BBQ Chicken Wings is so easy and fast, it’s basically one of the best recipes to make for a small crowd–or even a large one!

Plus, you’re making your very own homemade BBQ sauce with this recipe, so you can adjust the sweetness level or even add a little spice, if you want.

And, because these aren’t fried, you’re not tending them for a half hour, turning them and whatnot. Not that I mind a fried wing, but, honestly, if I have a bunch of people coming over, I would much rather be checking something in the oven a few times and concentrating on making other foodstuffs.

Plus, these Baked BBQ Chicken Wings are just so darn tasty, I really enjoy having them. Like really.

How to Make Baked BBQ Chicken Wings

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Cut the chicken wings into parts, discarding the tips. I find using a sharp knife and cutting halfway through, then pulling the pieces apart is the most efficient way to cut chicken wings.

Step 2

Mix ketchup, spices and brown sugar into a small bowl.

Step 3

Step 5

Add Chicken to the baking dish and place in the oven for 25 minutes.

Check for doneness by cutting a chicken wing in the center of the dish in half to see if there is any pink. If it’s done, serve, if not, keep baking in 5 minutes increments, checking between each increment, until done.
