– 4 waffles – 1 pound chicken breasts boneless, skinless – 2 cups oil – 1/2 cup flour – 4 eggs – 2 cups breadcrumbs – 3/4 cup maple syrup

STEP 1: Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.

STEP 2:  Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium heat.

STEP 3:  Place the flour in one bowl, eggs in another bowl, and breadcrumbs in a third bowl.

STEP 4:  Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour, eggs, breadcrumbs, then back into the egg, and into the breadcrumbs once more.

STEP 5:  Carefully place the chicken in the warm oil. Cook chicken until golden brown.

STEP 6:  Remove from the pan and place on a wire rack.

STEP 7:  Place a waffle on a serving plate and top with chicken. 

STEP 8:  Drizzle with syrup and serve warm.
