You are not going to believe how easy this Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie is to make–and how much your kids are going to love it. Way more flavorful than those sad little frozen pot pies and totally worth the time.

Just toss the ingredients in the crockpot and you’re golden. Seriously, the little biscuits on top are golden browned and perfect for topping such a quick and easy meal!

And the best part is that this gooey, gravey-ey wonderfulness is surprisingly easy to make. Sure, there’s some chopping involved, but the honest truth is, once that’s done, there’s nothing but “freeeeedom!”

Because that’s what the slow cooker is all about, right?! Just setting you free from the stove and making it so easy to have a home cooked meal just about ready when you get home.

What You Need To Make Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie

This is a very simple chicken recipe that’s no-fail. Seriously, anyone can make these, as long as you can follow some basic cooking instructions. Here’s what you need:

  • 1 1/2 lbs Cubed Chicken Breast
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 cup Corn (frozen or canned)
  • 1 cup Chopped Celery
  • 1 cup Chopped Carrot
  • 2 cups Chopped Potatoes
  • 1 cup Lima Beans
  • 1 teaspoon Celery Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper

To make the biscuits:

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 cup Water

How to Make This Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie

Step 1

Add chicken, broth, seasoning, corn, carrot and celery to the slow cooker.

Step 2

Add potatoes on top of the chicken and veggies.

Step 3

Put the lid on the slow cooker and turn it onto high for 4 hours or low for 8.

When your chicken portion is ready, it’s time to make the biscuits, so preheat your oven to 425 degrees.

To make the biscuits, whisk together all of the dry ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.

Step 4

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and whisk together.

Step 5

Scoop out 3 tablespoons of dough and place them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet 2 inches apart.

Bake the biscuits in the oven for 18 minutes.

Remove and place on top of the chicken pot pie and enjoy!
