Ingredients
1 ½lbsCubed Chicken Breast
1cupChicken Broth
4cupsWater
1cupChopped Celery
1cupChopped Carrot
1teaspoonCelery Salt
1teaspoonGarlic Powder
½teaspoonSalt
½teaspoonPepper
To make the dumplings:
2cupsAll-Purpose Flour
1teaspoonBaking Soda
1teaspoonVegetable Oil
⅔cupWater
Instructions
In the slow cooker, combine chicken, celery, carrot, spices and all other ingredients except those necessary for the dumplings.
Put the lid on the slow cooker and turn it onto high for 4 hours or low for 8.
When your chicken portion is ready, it's time to make the dumplings.
To make the dumplings, whisk together all of the dry ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and whisk together.
Drop the dumplings into the chicken soup portion by spoonfuls.
Allow the chicken and dumplings to cook uncovered for 10 minutes, then put the lid back on the slow cooker and allow it to cook for an additional 10 minutes.
